Five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe

This event is now sold-out but please check back for returns.

Following her sell-out appearance in 2019 we are thrilled to welcome comedy star Suzi Ruffell back to Happy Valley Pride!

Event Information

With five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, a nomination for Best Stand-Up Show in the National Comedy Awards and critical acclaim from reviewers and audiences alike, suited and booted stand-up Suzi is a force to be reckoned with.

Suzi has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, The Jonathan Ross Show, Dating No Filter and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled. A regular host on Virgin and BBC radio appearing on Radio 4’s The Now Show and The News Quiz, many fans will know Suzi for her podcasting. She’s the co-host of Like Minded Friends with Tom Allen, and hosts her own OUT With Suzi Ruffell which celebrates the lives of LGBTQIA+ people and ‘coming out’ through interviews with star-studded guests.

Suzi’s Amazon special Dance Like Everyone Is Watching was released in 2022 to critical acclaim, and her latest tour Snappy culminated in a taping at London’s iconic Bloomsbury Theatre, which is due to be released later this year.

Jacob Alon

The first show to be announced for this year's Happy Valley Pride festival, Jacob Alon is a Scottish singer-songwriter with a profound gift for storytelling. Both intimate and devastatingly introspective, their music is touched by a rare timelessness. Drawing fair comparisons to artists such as Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright, Alon’s sound cuts through the air with powerful and haunting vocals, intricate guitar playing, and pensive, poetic lyrics.

'Breathtaking' - NME.

'A distinctive and powerful voice' - Rolling Stone.

'Heart-stoppingly beautiful' - Clash.

'They are going to be huge' - The Herald.

Alon recently made a big impression on Later with Jools Holland (see the video below)...
