Alien deity, drag queen, academic and idealist – Cheddar Gorgeous is the entertaining, hilarious and breathtaking star of Channel 4’s Drag SOS and BBC’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
Amplified to the mainstream through sensational TV performances, their roots grew from underground queer club culture and activism. The depth and breadth of their take on the power of drag has created their reputation as an educator of the more serious and complex dimensions of queer culture. Affectionately referred to as Dr Cheddar Gorgeous on Drag Race UK, Cheddar (aka Dr Michael Atkins) has cemented their position as one of the nation’s most beloved drag queen mentors. In this live show they return to the boards, bringing their performative take on masculinity with a full artistic vision.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to circumstances beyond Happy Valley Pride's control, the date for the Cheddar Gorgeous show has moved to Tuesday 23rd July (doors 7.30pm, show 8pm) at The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. The original date was Friday 26th July.
All tickets for the original date remain valid but if you are no longer able to attend you can get a refund - please email info@happyvalleypride.com to arrange this, please note all refund requests must be with us no later than 10th July, after this date we cannot process them.
We have just released the final ten tickets for the new date!
Everyone with tickets for Cheddar's show will still be able to gain free entry to Kim Lana's club night, from 9.30pm, at The Trades Club on the Friday. Just show up with your ticket.

Stick around after Cheddar's show for an amazing set from DJ Kim Lana whose journey into House is inextricably linked with her proud identity as a trans woman and long-time community builder, both in the valley and across queer dance floors nationwide.
Access information
Seating: Unreserved seating for the Cheddar Gorgeous show, then the space is transformed after Cheddar's show into a club space and all seats are removed - limited booth seating will be available from this point on ward - Please contact The Trades Club directly if you would like to reserve a specific space for access purposes: https://thetradesclub.com/accessibility
Vibe: the first half of this event is a sit-down performance art show requiring a quiet audience followed by a loud, mostly standing club-night
