Old age can be a drag!

An award winning documentary and intimate portrait of ageing and friendship in the LGBTQIA+ world. Maisie raises vital questions about how we care for our queer elders as they approach the twilight of their lives.

Britain’s Oldest Performing Drag Artiste, David Raven (Maisie) prepares for the performance of a lifetime to celebrate his 85th birthday. A recent health diagnosis only adds to David’s growing anxiety as the big day approaches, but, ever the professional, Maisie gives the performance of a lifetime as she looks back on half-a- century of entertaining. A moving, warm, funny film with an appearance from the late Paul O'Grady.

The Screening will be followed by a live Q&A with the film's director Lee Cooper and performer Allan Cardew.

The film will be subtitled.

Maisie is presented in partnership with Hebden Bridge Film Festival.
