Back for the fourth time with the UK's best in poetry and spoken word - it's FLUID "L with the T special edition", celebrating queer life, queer love and queer solidarity.
Featuring:
Jackie Kay was born and brought up in Scotland. She is the author of, among other books, The Adoption Papers - which won the Forward Prize, Red Dust Road - winner of the Scottish Book of the Year Award, Trumpet, and the Costa-shortlisted Fiere. She was the third Makar, or National Poet for Scotland (2016-2021). She is a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Salford and patron of Happy Valley Pride.
Rachel Mann is a priest, poet and broadcaster. She has written twelve books, including a debut poetry collection, A Kingdom of Love (Carcanet, 2019). Her memoir of growing up trans, Dazzling Darkness (Wild Goose), came out in a second, revised edition in 2020.
Jane Burn is a working class, pansexual, autistic person, poet, artist and essayist 2014, Jane’s poems have won, been placed, shortlisted, or longlisted in seventy competitions. Her poems are widely Her latest collection, Be Feared, is available from Nine Arches.
Clare Shaw (they/them) has four poetry collections with Bloodaxe: their 2022 collection “Towards a General Theory of Love” was a Poetry Society Book of the Year. Clare believes that writing is transformative - and as a poet, performer and activist they work with the same vision and energy in settings from community projects to international festivals and the BBC.
Jay Mitra (they/he) is a non-binary punk poet, multi slam champion, and music journalist from Yorkshire. Their poetry has been published in Acumen Poetry, Drawn To The Light Press, Streetcake Magazine and Broken Sleep Books’ Queer Icons anthology
Taylor Le Fin has an MA in Contemporary Fine Art, Sheffield Hallam University & is a multidisciplinary artist and musician who has performed live art throughout the UK and internationally. Taylor is currently developing a new show called Common People with support from Arts Council England.
